Matt Fleeger Supports the Sadie Keller Foundation

Sadie Keller is an Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia survivor. This ten-year-old fifth-grader gives hope to other children battling different kinds of cancers through videos. She started taking the videos secretly fearing her parents would discourage her. However, upon finding out, Sadie’s parents gave her full support in her quest to provide inspiration and hope to children battling with cancer.

In America, pediatric cancer research is underfunded the government set allocates only 4% of the funds set aside for cancer research to childhood cancer research: This is expected to cater for all childhood cancers. Sadie, with the help of her parents, started Sadie Keller Foundation to lobby corporate entities to support this cause.

The CEO of Gulf Coast Western Inc., Matt Fleeger made a significant donation of $14000 to the foundation. Matt Fleeger is known for his massive support to matters affecting children; therefore, this donation did not come as a surprise. Fleeger Family Kitchen is an organization he founded that supports children’s STEM-Based learning. The fund he contributed to Sadie Keller Foundation was to be used to support the gift packs given to children and families battling pediatric cancer. Matt Fleeger is helping the Sadie Keller foundation lobby for more funds from corporate entities. Proper research on childhood cancer will enable the government to enact policies to help curb and eradicate pediatric cancer across the United States.

The other corporates that have contributed to the Sadie Keller Foundation kitty include Newport Home Builders, The Seay Group Realty, Southwest Airlines, Mays Family Foundation, Coulder Peak Capital, the Kimberly hotel, and other corporate donors.

Sadie continues to inspire and give hope to children and families battling childhood cancer even after her last chemo session, which was on the 26th of May 2017. She tells what the children what to expect during the treatment to suppress their fear.
